Report31st August 2023
This is an early findings report which sets out likely applications of AI in genomics and the significant questions these could raise for policy makers and for those working in genomics and AI. It identifies evidence gaps that need addressing in order to help steer the development of these technologies in line with public values and priorities.
This is the first report from our joint project with the Ada Lovelace Institute examining AI and genomics futures. These early findings helped us to identify ‘AI-powered genomic health prediction’ as the focus for the next phase of research which was published in a final report ‘Predicting: The future of health? in 2024.
