Meeting on ‘care.data’ with NHS England

Members of the Council and the Biological and Health Data Working Party met Tim Kelsey, Director of Patients and Information, NHS England, to discuss developments relating to the ‘care.data’ programme.

Mr Kelsey explained the current legal and operational status of the programme and the Council members explained the background and evolution of the work on Biological and Health Data. The Council offered to discuss their emerging findings, insofar as these may be useful to the development of care.data, with Mr Kelsey at a further meeting in the Autumn and this proposal was welcomed.
